The new spotting season has started. Already around Ft Lauderdale, there are visitors from all parts of Europe. Interesting things have been happening at the airport as well. There have been two very interesting equipment subs - Continental and American both bringing in B767's for B737-800's - Continental a B767-200 and American a B767-300ER with winglets. Both are very rare sights at Ft Lauderdale.
And then today, while at the airport for a quick lunch time break, a C-17 appeared on approach - my first time to see one in flight - and a very rare sight for Ft Lauderdale.
The season is starting with promise....there must be more to come....
Apologies for the lack of posting - it's the end of summer hiatus - waiting for the decent fall weather to start and the hot summer to end - in between, there are funny weather patterns, westerly operations...bad light. But, soon it will be a thing of the past - and - it will be shooting season again. There is already a Miami trip planned in early November. Normal posting will resume soon.
